The turquoise sea of Altafulla

When was the last time you truly stopped?

You let go of your caring responsibilities?

You took yourself to the glittering sea, the golden sand and the warm sunshine.

Basking in the warmth, feeling relaxed and at peace, you turned your attention inward.

And you asked yourself: sweetie, are you ok?

What is it that you desire?

What needs to be let go of, blowing in the wind like crisp autumn leaves?

What seeds are you planting, in this time rich with quietness?

Come spring time, will you have given yourself the time to breathe, feel and know yourself, so you can blossom into the woman you truly are?

Beneath the busyness.

Beneath the responsibilities.

Beneath the expectations.

Who is this woman, who breathes deeply, who knows the sweet spots inside herself?

Who is this woman, who relaxes into slow, sensual movement simply because it makes her feel good?

Who is this woman, at peace with her body and her eating, able to enjoy the moment right in front of her, because she knows this moment is a gift of life?

This woman is YOU,

on retreat with US,

and we can’t wait to meet her.

YOUR RETREAT AT A GLANCE

SUNDAY: You will arrive in a group chaperoned by Jan and Jane. Transfers are all arranged. Emily will meet us at the hotel and we will have time to settle in before sharing a delicious early dinner together. We will then have an opportunity to explore the surrounding area before sharing our first circle together.

MONDAY: The theme today is “Letting Go”. We offer a full range of tools, all based on movement, breath and energy, to uncover how we can let go of anything that no longer serves us.

TUESDAY: Today’s theme is “New Vision”. Here we begin the process of dreaming a vision of a new way of being. Becoming more comfortable, spacious and free in our bodies as well as our minds.

WEDNESDAY: We continue our themes of “letting go” and “new vision” but now we can, if we choose, add “integration and embodiment” to our practice which will embed our new way of being.

THURSDAY: Our theme today is “celebration”! We celebrate your process so far and then look at how you can take what you have absorbed, felt and embodied home with you.

FRIDAY: Farewell, taking with you the next right step in your life and how being part of this community can serve you moving forward.

YOUR HOSTS:

Emily Holden

Emily is the co-founder of “I Eat What I Need” (IEWIN), alongside her mum, Jan. Emily and JAn founded IEWIN in response to the great lack of understanding around the healing of food and body image issues. Emily brings over a decade of teaching to IEWIN. Now a qualified yoga teacher, Emily trained for 3 years with Marc Acquaviva, in the Scaravelli-inspired tradition of yoga. She also completed the “Meditating with the Body” and the “Somatic Practice of Pure Awareness” programmes with Reggie Ray, Buddhist scholar and teacher of somatic (body-based) meditation. Emily knows from her own experience and that of her clients that are feeling disconnected from our bodies is often the root cause of many issues that often manifest in our lives, including disordered eating issues, her area of expertise and personal experience. She is especially interested in how yoga and somatic meditation can encourage us to process our buried emotions and previous traumas so we can live more freely and joyfully in the present.

Jan Holden

Jan, Emily’s mum is the co-founder of IEWIN and has worked in health for over 30 years. Jan’s passion for care has led her into the diverse areas of nursing, midwifery, palliative care, kinesiology and plant-based eating. She is both a birthkeeper and a soul midwife and has attended many hundreds of births and deaths, holding space for people at their most vulnerable times. Jan is happiest in the kitchen, where she creates nourishing and hearty plant-based dishes with love and care. As well as preparing our breakfast each day, she is on hand to offer support and guidance to you from her many years of experience working in holistic health.
